WOYWW 128 - Oooops......

Welcome to the worldwide wonder that is WOYWW - for deets go to Dunnit Dimensions

Well, mine is short but not exactly sweet this week.

You ever have one of those moments that is soundtracked by a sharp intake of breath?  You know the one I mean, where you can actually HEAR the horror that you've just experienced?  Yeah, that one.

Well, I did one of those on Monday.  Our Group Personnel Manager was stood at my desk distracting me.  On my desk were two piles of paperwork.  One for shredding, the other for filing.  Fairly important filing too, because it was personnel stuff.

Still talking to her, I picked up the shredding, walked to the shredded, selected the first batch of 7 sheets, and put them in the shredder.

The pages get three-quarters of the way through - and cue horrified sharp intake of breath as I realise I had picked up the wrong pile.

So, my WOYWW for this week is this......

To quote Lil Miss B - "It's a good job you like jigsaw puzzles!"....

Catch you on the hop!

Thank goodness it was only 7 sheets and not one of those shredders that goes 2 ways! I am feeling too much sympathy to laugh at this one......

Yikes... I feel for you. Your heart probably stopped a beat as well.

The sculptures were taken at Tamarama Beach a beach suburb in Sydney. The exhibition is put on every year and starts at Bondi beach and ends at Tamarama. The walk takes a good hour even more if you stop and look at all the sights and have coffee at the cafes!!

In the age of digital wonders - are they not all on a hard disc somewhere - or have you brought them home to make art??? Thanks for sharing today, Sarah at 2.

As soon as you said 2 pile..I knew. You are not alone. It is a heart stopping moment, I really do understand - you are not alone. Although you are, because of course, being Personnel stuff, no-one can help you with this jigsaw. Thank goodness it's not a cross cut shredder. Any help? No?sorry.

Been there and done that, even to the point of sticking all the strips together but that was the easy bit……..finding all the pieces was the biggest problem.

That will teach your personnel manager to stop talking to you when you’re trying to work.

Happy Crafting!

Congratulations Morti, you guessed correctly!!! It is a hand carved wooden stamp from Bangladesh. Probably used to stamp on fabrics. Now will be used to stamp on anything. So pleased you got it right and on the first attempt. Very clever. Please email me desand@optusnet.com.au your addie as a little gift is coming you way.

O M G ......I can imagine your horror! Thank goodness you realized part way through but still that feeling of uttermost horror! I've got one for you too! Years ago when I was the Assistant Manager of a bank one of my responsibilities every evening was to set the timers on the vault doors. This task allowed the vault doors to open every morning at the set time after the combinations were dialed to the correct pattern....I think you might be able to figure out where I'm going with this! Yup!!! To my absolute horror, the next morning when the combinations were dialed the vault remainded locked. We had to open the bank with no money!!!! Thankfully across the street was another bank that was kind enough to lend us some bills and coin until the vault opened - 8 hours later!!!! I thought I was going to get fired!! There are always two people that set the timers so this wouldn't happen but ultimately I was in charge and therefore it was my fault. I know the feeling! I can laugh now but I sure couldn't at the time let me tell you!

For being # 1 this week, I'm awfully late visiting. I'm so sorry but, after a computer crash, I had to stop by. I can relate to the shredding, only mine is I had two lovely pieces of scrapbook paper under the one I wanted to cut, and cut all three at the same time, not meaning to. I empathize.

Oh you are a brave sole to tell that one on yourself....! I don't know how you were able to make a sound when you inhailed... I don't think I could have even taken a breath....let alone make noise.....
Since you posted this you must have lived thru it...thank goodness!!!
See you next time!

Hi Morti, thanks for popping by.
I have been adding to my stitching blog but I only set it up this year and I’m trying to get everything on their in the order they were stitched.
So far I’ve only got up to 2008 but keep an eye out because I still have loads to go on when I get the time to update it.

Sorry if I confused you.
